The Upper School Drama Club is proud to continue its 2023-24 Season with the Broadway classic, Hello, Dolly! on March 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7 pm and on March 9 at 1 pm in the Kerr Center for the Arts.
The musical adaptation of Thornton Wilder’s hit play The Matchmaker bursts with humor, romance, energetic dance, and some of the greatest songs in musical theatre history. Premiering on Broadway on January 16, 1964, at the St. James Theatre, with Carol Channing in the title role, the show ultimately played for 2,844 performances, making it – at the time – the longest-running Broadway musical in history. Hello, Dolly! is an ebullient and irresistible story of the joy of living, glittering with happy songs, shining with loving scenes, alive with the personality of one of the most fabulous characters on the musical stage…Dolly Gallagher Levi!
