The Upper School Drama Club is proud to continue it’s 2021-22 season with John-Michael Tebelak’s and Stephen Schwartz’s rock musical Godspell on March 4, 5, 11, and 12 at 7:30 pm and March 5 at 2:00 pm in the Kerr Center for the Arts.
The show opened off-Broadway on May 17, 1971, and has since been produced by multiple touring companies and in many revivals. First performed in the Kerr Stage in 2010, this musical is structured as a series of parables, primarily based on the Gospel of Matthew. The parables are interspersed with music set primarily to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the passion of Christ appearing briefly near the end of the show.
